Missing - Part III

This composition is a re-imagining of Missing - Part I. The orchestra is replaced by a solo piano, with a more impressionistic texture throughout. The main theme is largely true to the original version, although now the melodic line is passed frequently between the registers of the piano. The middle section has also been completely reworked and extended, weaving its way through many keys before returning to a grand recapitulation of the main theme. Towards the end, the music slows and becomes more contemplative, and then ends peacefully on a relative major chord.
